RTM's Grizzly takes full advantage of commercially proven wellhead recorder technology to offer real time measurements straight from the wellhead via GSM or CDMA cellular networks.
With a standard Grizzly data plan - similar to a cellular phone plan - data is downloaded and stored safely and securely from anywhere coverage is provided. Extended services include powered standalone repeaters to provide data access to areas without coverage by existing networks; in extremely remote locations satellite systems can be deployed.
Two features that really set the Grizzly apart from other wellhead recorders are connectivity and reliability.
Connectivity
Log in to rty.ca with your secure password and your data will be right there, waiting for you. Use Grizzly's built-in GPS to locate a well for which you have access in order to check pressure and temperature data from anywhere in the world. You can also select from a list, or simply enter in the user defined location or well name and retrieve the data instantly. Download only the data you require in the format you prefer and use it to create reports, presentations or perform analysis.
Set up and customize alarm actions based on live data from the well, which will ensure your operators are notified by phone, e-mail or text message the moment changes occur.
When an operator is on site, real time data is viewed on RTM's custom, handheld management device via a secure connection. Based on a state-of-the-art communication platform, this component of the Grizzly system can be used to:
Reliability
By removing the power hungry display from the wellhead recorder, battery life can be more easily monitored, controlled and predicted. The handheld display unit can be charged from any 110V AC or 12V DC outlet the operator finds convenient.
Wellhead recorders offered by our competitors allow foreign elements (primarily condensed water and sand) to get into the enclosure and cause circuit damage to the electronics. Grizzly is argon-filled at the factory and welded shut. This is the key to Grizzly's extraordinary reliability.
