This is the next major release of the Spoon data analysis software package. This release contains several new features and numerous minor improvements. A full list of changes is as follows:
* Add ability to delete plots.
* Add anomaly removal tool.
* Improved performance of text import.
* Add gauge position to series name.
* Fix offset tool with regards to depths (bug 644).
* Re-implemented colour selection algorithm (bug 645).
* Some fixes for importation, such as allowing to import from Honeypot
into an existing plot (bug 643).
* Fix printing bug (Bug 559).
* Rework offset tool.
* Add entire Tools menu to plot context menu.
* Add RTM logo to report page footers and survey info to page headers.
* Added support for new Honeypot db format.
* Disable OpenGL acceleration by default.
* Added prune tool.
* There have been a couple of noteworthy interface changes. On the toolbar
the two Print buttons have been replaced with one button that has an
optional popup menu. If you just click the printer icon, the plot will be
printed. If you click the down arrow next to the printer icon, a menu will
be displayed giving you more print choices, like printing the report or
printing to PDF.
* The "Auto Fluid Lines" and "Insert Line" toolbar buttons have also been
replaced with a button that has an optional popup menu. If you just click
the lines icon, fluid lines will be automatically added to the gradient.
If you click the down arrow next to the lines icon, a menu will be
displayed giving you the choice of adding a specific kind of line.
* CSV export has been redone to allow you to choose what data to export
and the order of exported columns. The CSV export dialog shows a preview
of what is to be exported. You can drag the columns around to change their
order, and click the column titles to select which columns are exported.
* Reports can now be configured to include only the features you want. On
the Print Preview toolbar, click the configure report button (icon looks
like a wrench) and check off the features you want to include.
* Sometimes the Auto Fluid Lines will guess the wrong fluid type. Now you
can Right Click on a line and use the Line Type menu to change the fluid
type. You can control how Auto Fluid Lines are determined by opening the
Edit menu, clicking Preferences, and then clicking on the Gradients
section.
* There is now an offset tool that lets you offset series horizontally and
vertically. Open the tools menu and click Offset Data. For each series you
want to offset, select it from the drop-down list and enter the offset
amount. If the series is time based e.g. Pressure vs Time, you can choose
to offset the time by a specific amount like one hour, or choose a
starting time.
* Feedback is very important, positive and negative. If something doesn't
work or works especially well, I want to hear about it. If you have an
idea for improving something, I want to hear it. If there is something you
like or dislike, I want to hear about it. Nothing is too unimportant to
discuss. Thanks!
* Right click on lines to change their type.
* Redo CSV export.
* Data offset tool.
* Make report elements configurable.
* Introduced clock drift compensation tool.
* Rotate plot in report so the top is on left side of page (bug 630).
* Automatic calculation of gradient fluid levels.
* Change the way time intervals are entered for filtering (bug 627).
* Implemented a solution for plot printing problems (bug 605).
* Properly sort report table colums (bug 620).
* Do not show row number in report tables (bug 620).
* Introduced first (useful) revision of the new plot tools framework.
* Only show one depth column in gradient reports (bug 620).
* Show fluid interfaces in linear report (bug 621).
* Enable time filtering in reports.
